Saturday, May 12, 12-2 p.m. at Hazard Center
In preparation for the San Diego Museum of Man’s new exhibit, PostSecret, the MoM’s PostSecret Street Team will be hosting “pop-up” postcard-making stations throughout San Diego County over the next six months to collect and share San Diego’s secrets in the exhibit! On Saturday, May 19, from 12:00-2:00 p.m., they’ll be at Hazard Center. Come meet the street team, make a postcard, and learn more about the exhibit!
More about the Exhibit:
The San Diego Museum of Man’s PostSecret exhibit, which opens April 14, 2018, is inspired by the ongoing community art project, PostSecret. PostSecret, which started in 2004, invites participants to anonymously write their secrets on handmade postcards. They mail the artful cards to PostSecret creator Frank Warren, and each week he selects and arranges a composition of secrets for his award-winning blog. To date, the project has received over a million submissions, some of which have been displayed at the White House and featured in six best-selling books. Warren is working with the San Diego Museum of Man to create a new exhibit featuring postcards collected in San Diego, across the country, and around the world.
